NEW YORK, Nov. 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- British Airways announced today the return of "London for Free" offering two free nights' hotel accommodation in central London when purchasing round-trip airfares between the United States and any worldwide destination.
Roundtrip airfares begin at $298 between New York's JFK/Newark airports and London's Heathrow. Travelers may choose to fly directly to London and take advantage of two free hotel nights or fly to any worldwide British Airways destination with a stopover in London to enjoy those two free hotel nights, courtesy of British Airways. Sample round trip airfares to other destinations from New York include Barcelona for $454, Vienna for $450, Amsterdam for $396, Rome for $447, Cairo for $678 and Nairobi for $900.
"London For Free" must be purchased from Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, through Monday midnight (EST), Nov. 21, 2005. Travel is valid from Nov. 22, 2005 through Dec. 15, 2005 and Dec. 24, 2005 through April 2, 2006.
The two free hotel nights are available at a selection of three and four-star hotels. London hotels participating in "London For Free" include Royal National, Paddington Court, Hyde Park Paddington, Comfort Inn Kensington, Ramada Hyde Park, Corus Hyde Park, Rembrandt, and Park Inn Hyde Park. The two free hotel nights are based on double occupancy; single occupants are offered one free hotel night.
And, for the first time, 'London for Free' travelers have the option to upgrade their round trip air travel to Club World, British Airways' award-winning business class and enjoy two free nights at a five-star hotel -- either the Park Lane or the Courthouse Kempinski. Tickets must be purchased seven days in advance of departure for World Traveller; 42 day advance purchase required for Club World. Minimum stay is one Saturday night; maximum stay is 11 months. Free hotel nights must be booked seven days in advance of arrival and must be taken on consecutive nights in the same hotel.
Economy seat fares are based on mid-week travel, Monday-Wednesday. Weekend travel, Thursday-Sunday, is available for an additional $30 surcharge each way. Fares are subject to availability and do not include government taxes and fees ranging from $100 to $140 and a $2.50 September 11th Security Fee.
