(OTCBB:MAUG) and Palmera Holdings, Inc. dba Trinity Biogenics, announced today that The Stowe Foundation will be conducting adult stem cell testing under the supervision of Dr. Lawrence Stowe and Dr. Carlos Serralde at the prestigious Angeles Hospital in Mexico City, Mexico which started the week of November 14th. Drs. Stowe and Serralde will be treating chronic heart failure patients with the stem cells being directly infused into the tissue to increase the function of the heart. The human clinical study will conform to FDA standards as a Phase 1 study, and this is the first time in the world that bone marrow concentrate containing all active forms of adult stem cells will be used on human patients.
According to Dr. Lawrence Stowe, this study features cutting-edge technology not previously utilized in human trials: "All other human studies have used specific stem cell lines that have been purified and isolated from a wide variety of body tissue.
