SunFirst Bank Chooses Biometric Solution From Identica Corp. to Protect its Central Datacenter

ST. GEORGE, Utah, Nov. 21, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Identica Corp was chosen as the biometric provider to enhance the security of SunFirst Bank's Datacenter. Identica Corp was chosen due to its ease of use and simplistic integration into SunFirst Bank's existing access control system. Identica Corp. installed the Techsphere Hand Vascular Pattern biometric scanner at the entrance of SunFirst Bank's Information Technology Datacenter.

"We were thrilled to install our Vascular Pattern Biometric System at SunFirst Bank, as we saw it as the most technologically advanced bank in Southern Utah. SunFirst Bank is striving to protect their customer's data, and we were proud to offer them an additional layer of protection to their customers in the form of a Biometric," said Dan Bird, Director of TEC (Technical Expertise Center) in Salt Lake City. "It feels great to know our company is providing a great product as well as protection in an environment that demands high security."

"Identica's Hand Vascular biometric solution was an easy choice for SunFirst Bank, as it provides our customers with the additional layer of security we were looking for. SunFirst Bank continues to provide its customers with the knowledge that their information is secure. The biometric solution provided by Identica is very easy to use, and has a quick, simple enrollment process," said Dan Strobell, CAO and Vice President of SunFirst Bank. "I like the ability to know at a glance who goes in and who goes out of my datacenter, and the package that Identica provided SunFirst Bank does just that," said Chris Weidman, Information Technology Officer of SunFirst Bank.
