HAMILTON, Bermuda, Dec. 2, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- SeaDrill Limited ("SeaDrill") (Oslo:SDRL) (Other OTC:SDRLF) has today acquired 5,350,900 shares in SeaDrill Invest Limited ("OIL" former Odfjell Invest Limited) (Oslo:OIL) at NOK 20 per share. After this SeaDrill controls 98.61 percent of OIL.
SeaDrill has applied the Oslo Stock Exchange for a delisting of OIL. With this latest transaction SeaDrill expects this to be approved quickly.
