A Murder Mystery - Multiple Suspects - A Saga Filled with Adult Humor and a Surprise Ending -- New Book Tells Fascinating Story of Power, Suspense, and Dental Prestige

MEDFORD, N.J., Dec. 5, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- There is no doubt that people's quest for finding meaning and their rightful place in this world continues to be very difficult to achieve. And on top of that, their idealism overwhelms their judgment, their insight, and even their souls. But when desperate situations start to happen, people suddenly realize the need for survival and, if possible, justice. These are the themes expressed by author Michael Kruise as he presents a fascinating tale of murder, suspense, and ambition with his new novel Painless.

Based on the author's selected experiences and imagination, Painless tells the story of Jeffrey Monroe, a dentist who is struggling to find his niche in society as well as a happy family of his own. One day, an incredible job opportunity arrives which he finds irresistible as it would bring him close to the big city life he enjoyed before. Not only that, the new dental practice is one of the largest and most prestigious in the entire state, which just might give Jeffrey's career more stability and prestige.

But things didn't happen the way he expected as an endless series of unfortunate events overwhelmed his new dental office and its staff. The world has turned upside down but nothing could prepare him from shock as the wife of Dr. Pollard (the owner and chief dentist) is found dead and every piece of evidence points to him. Now a fugitive, Jeffrey must prove his innocence by relying on his old friends and uncover the truth from the people who might be linked to the tragedy. With his friends, Jeffrey looks back at his old days in dental school and tells them plenty of old funny stories which might help them find out who could be responsible behind the murder and the set up. Will he be able to solve the web of mystery or will he ultimately fail? The clock ticks fast and the heart beats faster on the way to the book's smashing ending!

Exciting, intelligent, and entertaining, Painless is a murder mystery novel that carefully blends intrigue and excitement with sheer precision that will push readers to the edge of their mind as well as amuse them. With shades of 1993's The Fugitive, Michael Kruise has crafted a book that sheds light on the dental profession aided with detailed character development, adult humor and a cutting-edge story that should attract all kinds of readers to its side. No doubt about it, Painless is easily the most entertaining book you can find at your local bookstore and library today! This one deserves a movie!
