Kronos Expands U.S. and International Intellectual Property Position With Two More Patent Allowances


BELMONT, Mass., Dec. 7, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Kronos Advanced Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:KNOS), today announced that its Kronos Air Technologies, Inc. wholly owned subsidiary has received a Notice of Allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a patent application, Electrostatic Fluid Accelerator -- Advanced Geometries, as well as a Notice of Allowance from the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property for a patent application, Electrostatic Fluid Accelerator.

"The U.S. patent includes an innovative electronics concept that enables more advanced geometries and placement of the electrical arrays and provides for more efficient air filtration and sterilization in Kronos' air movement and purification products," stated President and Chief Executive Officer Daniel R. Dwight. "The technology was developed by Dr. Igor Krichtafovitch, our Chief Technology Officer, and provides intellectual property protection for key aspects of the Kronos technology until 2023."

Kronos currently holds eight U.S. patents and two international patents (Mexico and Australia) and has 12 U.S. patents pending in addition to other applications in various stages of the patent process either internally or with patent counsel. Mexico follows Australia to become the second international jurisdiction in 2005 that has accepted Kronos' Electrostatic Fluid Accelerator patent application. Kronos also has international patents filed and is preparing to file others in Asia, including Australia, Japan and China; European Community; Eastern Europe and the Americas.
