Celebrate! Delta Extends Holiday Cheer to Customers with Special Airfares, Bonus SkyMiles for December Travel

Customers can count on Delta's usual spirit of service this holiday season


ATLANTA, Dec. 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Delta Air Lines employees around the world are ready to make the holiday travel experience stress- and worry-free for the more than 4 million customers who will choose to fly Delta between now and the New Year. As a holiday gift, the airline is offering customers special discount airfares starting as low as $59 each way (based on a round-trip purchase, and additional taxes, fees, and restrictions apply) for travel to many of the great destinations served by Delta in the continental United States and Canada. Delta also will present customers with an extra gift of 1,000 bonus SkyMiles(r) for each flown round-trip ticket purchased at delta.com.

These holiday sale airfares are valid for travel everyday between Dec. 17, 2005 through Jan. 1, 2006 (except Dec. 23), and require a minimum stay. Tickets must be purchased by Dec. 22, 2005. See below for more details.

To make the holiday travel experience as care-free as possible, Delta encourages customers to check their flight status and print boarding passes online at delta.com or at any of the convenient kiosks located at the airport. At curbside Delta Skycaps can check bags and make seat assignments, saving time and effort. Also, travelers should allow extra time to get to the airport, check any luggage and arrive at the departure gate on time (90 minutes for domestic and two hours for international flights); and remember not to take gift-wrapped packages through security checkpoints.

Restrictions: Fares shown are available for purchase only on delta.com or from your travel agent. Tickets cost $10 more if purchased from Delta over the telephone or $15 more if purchased at an airport or city ticket office, and these amounts are nonrefundable. Travel agents may impose an additional service charge for ticketing. Tickets are non-transferable. Seats are limited and fares may not be available on all flights or in all markets. Tickets: Fares shown are one-way. Round-trip purchase is required. Tickets must be purchased at least 3 days prior to departure, but no later than December 22, 2005. Cancellations/Refunds/Changes: Fares are nonrefundable. Delta may permit you to apply a portion of the fare value to future travel upon payment of applicable fees and fare difference, otherwise the ticket will have no value. Delta may allow you to cancel certain electronic tickets until midnight of the day after purchase (or midnight of the departure date of the first flight, whichever comes first) without penalty if purchased at the time of reservation directly from Delta. A flight segment is defined as a takeoff and a landing. For travel to/from Alaska/Hawaii, U.S. International Air Transportation tax of up to $14.00 round-trip applies.
