NEW YORK, Dec. 20, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Board of Trustees of PIMCO Corporate Opportunity Fund (the "Fund") (NYSE:PTY), a closed-end management investment company which seeks maximum total return through a combination of current income and capital appreciation, announced today that it has declared the following distributions on the Fund's common shares.
Special Income $0.04 per common share
Long-Term Capital Gain $0.01925 per common share
The distributions will be payable on January 13, 2006 to shareholders of record on December 30, 2005, with an ex-dividend date of December 28, 2005.
