HELSINKI, Finland, Jan. 2, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Aleksanteri Lebedeff has been appointed Senior Vice President, General Counsel of Metso Corporation as of May 1, 2006. He will report to Jorma Eloranta, President and CEO.
Lebedeff has been Vice President, Legal Counsel at Metso Corporate Office since 1999, and has worked in the Corporation since 1987.
Harri Luoto, Metso's current Senior Vice President, General Counsel, will retire in June 2006.
