World Am Names Ken Jochim President of Its Isotec, Inc. Subsidiary

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Jan. 4, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- World Am, Inc. (OTCBB:WDAM) today announced the appointment of Ken Jochim as President of its wholly owned Isotec, Inc. subsidiary.

"We are extremely fortunate in having Ken assume the Isotec presidency," said Robert A. Hovee, World Am's Chairman & Chief Executive Officer. "He has been working with the corporation since 2004 as a consultant, acting in the role of Isotec's COO, evaluating new business opportunities, developing an overall financial model, including both cash flow and a business plan, and defining product development and sales strategies.

"Ken has also worked on optimizing Isotec's business systems and contributing to the design and a patent for a new sensor technology. In addition, he has been successful in hiring, training, and leading skilled teams to meet objectives from small startups to large international corporations. Collectively, all these efforts uniquely qualify Ken to hit the ground running in this new assignment," said Mr. Hovee.

"Having worked closely with World Am for the past nearly two years has afforded me the opportunity to assess the company's strengths and opportunities," said Mr. Jochim. "I welcome the challenge to increase Isotec's penetration of its marketplace, and to help in the development of the company's Senz-It technology, which offers further potential enhancements to the already superior Isotec product line of security and weapons control portals."

Mr. Jochim has held positions of increasing responsibility in his career path, beginning with his joining General Electric Corporation as a design engineer in its Ordnance Systems Division. Two years later, he commenced a 20-year relationship with Hewlett Packard Corporation, initially joining its Santa Clara Division as a Member of Technical Staff & Project Manager. He then became a Reliability and Quality Assurance Manager, then an R&D Section Manager for the company's Digital Signal Analysis group. At the company's Disc Memory Division he was a Product Assurance Manager, Section Manager and Laboratory Manager, responsible for managing the development of more than 20 different data storage products. These included magnetic disc and tape drives, optical and bubble memory systems, and storage controllers.

In 1988 Mr. Jochim was named Vice President, Engineering for PrairieTek Corporation, the company that developed the industry's first 2.5-inch magnetic disc drive. He helped build the company from an early startup of 15 people to a $100 million a year business.

He later served as President of Nova-Net Communications, a supplier of high availability nationwide satellite products and services. Prior to joining World Am as a consultant, Mr. Jochim served as Vice President, Operations & Engineering, with AirCell, Inc. AirCell designs, manufactures, markets and supports a full product line of airborne cellular and satellite telecommunication systems and services.

Mr. Jochim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He completed postgraduate work in electrical engineering and participated in the general management program at the University of Santa Clara and the Hewlett Packard Executive Management Program.

Mr. Jochim, who resides with his family in Boulder, Colo., is the co-author of "The Book of VSATs".
