(formerly Tanagra, Inc.), a worldwide provider of file management and backup solutions for the consumer and small-to-medium business (SMB) markets, today announced Memeo(tm) iExtend -- an enhanced iPod version of its flagship backup solution Memeo AutoBackup(tm). The product is designed to give iPod users expanded access to more digital content while on the go.
Like its predecessor, Memeo iExtend expands the capabilities of iPod beyond downloading and replaying music, video and photo files. It makes it easier to access from an iPod the latest business-critical content such as e-mail, contacts, calendars, PowerPoint presentations, etc. This means business users could write-off their iPod come tax time (see note).
With the new Memeo iExtend, users have the ability to access RSS news feeds from their iPod. With its easy-to-use SmartPick(tm) checklist, users can select their preferred news topics such as sports, entertainment or financial news and download that information to their iPod and play it back while on the move. Memeo iExtend also includes the recently released Memeo + Shutterfly integrated solution, which provides users with an effortless way to share, print and protect precious digital moments. The solution instantly detects new digital photos and automatically manages the photo uploading process in the background. This decreases the time it takes to backup large amounts of photos or other digital content to an iPod.
