XMPie Reports Record Growth in North America, Europe and Asia In 2005

New Products and Flexible Solutions Fueled Expansion

NEW YORK, Jan. 16, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- XMPie(r) (www.xmpie.com), the award-winning software provider for dynamic publishing, announced today that the company's revenues in 2005 grew by more than 270% compared to 2004. New product introductions, a larger sales force and strong expansion into international markets drove the growth.

XMPie closed out 2005 at 37% above its global target. In Q4'05, North American sales nearly tripled compared to Q4'04, and international sales in Q4'05 from new markets in Europe and Asia equaled total North American sales from the same period only a year earlier. In the last quarter alone, XMPie added hundreds of new customers, all of whom benefited from the modular pricing of systems and new technology advances. Its total employees grew 40% to 50 employees by the end of 2005, mostly joining the global sales and R&D departments.

XMPie was in high gear in 2005, releasing several new products alongside key upgrades to its flagship product, PersonalEffect(r). "At the heart of XMPie is an extremely talented and dedicated R&D team," stated Eyal S. Goldwerger, CEO of XMPie. "They work closely with our sales force and strategic partners to understand what our customers need and rapidly develop and deploy new software solutions to meet these needs."

In 2005, XMPie introduced:

-- uDirect Professional(tm): A midrange solution that allows creative and printing professionals to easily and efficiently develop sophisticated variable data and direct marketing campaigns within Adobe(r) InDesign(r) CS2.

-- uStore(tm): A self-contained web-to-print solution for fast and easy deployment of branded, e-commerce enabled, online stores to manage ordering and customization of variable documents.

-- uImage(tm): A variable-imaging tool that integrates rich, breathtaking, Image Personalization effects with Variable Data Publishing in Adobe(r) Photoshop(r) CS2.

-- uChart(tm): A tool that creates data-driven variable charting within users' VDP documents using Adobe InDesign CS2.

-- XLIM(tm) Composition Engine: Pronounced "slim," XLIM provides 10 to 30 times faster processing and generation of variable data print-stream files for "business documents."

-- PersonalEffect Enhancements: XMPie's latest version is complete with X-DOT Technology to produce efficient variable print-streams with powerful transparency and drop shadow effects, the ability to dynamically change styles applied to any image or text in a document for each recipient and complete support for variable booklet production (including variable tables of content and indexes).

This week XMPie will move to its new headquarter offices in midtown Manhattan to accommodate its growth and is planning to rapidly introduce several new products in 2006 to fit evolving customers needs. According to Goldwerger, "XMPie has captured its leadership position by setting the bar higher for VDP. In 2006 we will continue to help our users serve their customers more effectively and with greater relevancy than ever, further driving innovation and broadening our value proposition. Providing our customers with a true umbrella solution for dynamic publishing allows us to help them as their needs change in a fast-changing business environment, and is a key factor in our sustained and rapid growth."
