MIAMI, Jan. 20, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- In an effort to amend certain presentations and disclosures in the Company's previously filed March 31, 2005 quarterly report, Aventura Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:AVNT) (Frankfurt: WKN#570891) ("Aventura") filed an amended March 31, 2005 quarterly report (Form 10-Q/A). The amended filing clarifies presentation deficiencies the SEC cited in a comment letter dated July 8, 2005.

The amended filing complies with presentation and disclosure requirements of a 1940 Act Business Development Company. There were no changes to assets, liabilities, equity, revenues, expenses, net income or net income per share.
