Vision Solutions Appoints Norm Williams as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Enterprise Software Provider Taps Williams' History of Strong Sales Growth in High-Tech Environments


IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 23, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Vision Solutions, a member of the publicly traded IDION group of companies (JSE:IDI), and the industry standard in High Availability, today announced that it has appointed Norm Williams to the position of executive vice president of sales and marketing. Williams' distinguished career includes more than 20 years of experience in startup, high-growth and mature technology companies. His career has been defined by causing an immediate and sustained impact on sales growth. Williams has developed successful sales organizations at seven companies, taking four sales organizations from under $20 million in revenue per year to well over $100 million within a short timeframe.

Williams has strong global sales and marketing management and team development experience including significant experience and proven success selling into a broad range of direct enterprise and channel environments. He was most recently president and CEO of Island Data Corporation, a real-time web self-help and customer analytics company. Previously Williams held various senior-level domestic and international sales and sales management positions at Conner Peripherals, a Fortune 500 company that specialized in small form factor computer disk drives. During his tenure at Conner, the company was recognized as the fastest-growing manufacturing startup in U.S. history, achieving Fortune 500 status in its third year of operation. Prior to Conner, Williams held various sales and account management positions at Seagate (STX).

He earned his bachelors degree in economics from UCLA. In 2000, he earned a graduate certificate from the American Electronics Association -- Stanford University Executive Institute for Management of High Technology Companies.
