Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities Sets Sail with Port O' Call Event

ATLANTA, Jan. 27, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities is proud to announce the 2006 Port O' Call, to be held at The Foundry at Puritan Mill on Saturday, February 4, at 8 PM. The nautical-themed fundraiser will benefit Atlanta's two Ronald McDonald Houses, located near Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and Scottish Rite.

The 11th Annual Port O' Call event will treat guests to a live and silent auction featuring hundreds of unique sports memorabilia, travel packages, and novel gift items. The evening will also include a fashion show, new to this annual fundraiser, at which attendees may bid on the models' fashions. There will even be a $10 raffle for two lucky winners to enjoy four days in either Cabo San Lucas or Puerto Vallarta.

And while the crowd enjoys incredible food, drinks, and fun, they'll know that their ticket proceeds and donations benefit the Atlanta Ronald McDonald Houses. Since 1979, the two Atlanta Houses have provided over 30,000 families warm meals and all the comforts of home while their children undergo treatment at nearby hospitals.

Wes Logue, Director of Development for Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, expressed his thoughts on the exciting event, "Port O' Call is such a fun and easy way to help out. It's a great event, and everyone leaves knowing they are providing one more night for families to stay at the Ronald McDonald Houses."
