Phoenix Matachewan Mines Ltd. (TSX-V:PMM) has a number of strong properties in Canada and Nevada. Sampling and geophysics indicates their large Steel River property has high volcanogenic massive sulphide potential, with a number of drill targets identified. VMS deposits in the area have been significant copper, zinc, lead and silver producers. The company's Bottle Creek property in Nevada saw high-grade mercury mining in the past. Now mercury's known as a possible indicator of a deeper mineralized system, often with gold and silver deposits. The Bottle Creek project will see the drill bit this spring.
