Web Analytics Software Supplier ClickTracks Reports Record Growth in 2005

ClickTracks Experiences 97% Annual Revenue Growth, 1,900 New Customers and Increased Enterprise Sales

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., Feb. 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- ClickTracks Analytics Inc. (www.clicktracks.com), maker of the award-winning line of web analytics software, today announced a 97% percent revenue growth in 2005.

The high increase in annual sales over 2004 is due, in part, to a significant increase in licenses of ClickTracks' JavaScript data collection (JDC) product; continued growth in the small-to-medium business market; release of pay-per-click (PPC) advertising bid management, and new features in ClickTracks' latest release, Version 6, which shipped in November, 2005.

"The kind of growth we've seen really boils down to one thing: marketers are getting smarter. They're becoming much savvier when it comes to things like web analytics, search engine marketing and online advertising," said John Marshall, ClickTracks' CEO. "We founded this company to help marketers wade through all the noise and wild goose chases and get to the data that matters. This is what marketers need: data that drives decisions."

During the last quarter of 2005, ClickTracks experienced a 107% increase over the same period in 2004. "Releasing ClickTracks Version 6 helped to both cement our position in the small and medium-sized business market, and gain some much-deserved recognition among larger enterprises. Though I'm admittedly a bit biased, the numbers are there-our last quarter growth couldn't have been achieved had we not done well in both of those areas," asserts Marshall.

ClickTracks 6 offers web site archiving, visual time-split comparisons, A/B split reporting and other new features that are particularly interesting to the enterprise market, Marshall explains.

Key Products and Features

ClickTracks JDC addresses increasing privacy and data ownership concerns by companies that prefer not to have their visitor data collected and stored on a third-party server. By releasing a client/host version of its own hosted data collection software, ClickTracks eliminates recurring costs and enables businesses to collect page-tagged web analytics data on their own co-located servers.

The newly released ClickTracks Optimizer represents a mid-tier web analytics product aimed at search engine optimization consultants and web production teams within mid-sized businesses. Optimizer was also a boon to strong 2005 sales, according to Marshall.

ClickTracks was also first to market with the release of BidHero. The product offers powerful pay-per-click advertising bid management that integrates with ClickTracks' existing web analytics software.

The combined new product and service offerings were sold to over 1,900 new customers in 2005.
