Caribbean International Network 'CIN' Celebrates Black History Month


NEW YORK, Feb. 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Caribbean International Network (CIN) is proud to present, for the seventh year running, a powerful line-up of programmes to honor the National Heroes of the Caribbean whose lives and actions have had a profound impact on the destiny of the Caribbean and the world.

CIN continues to use "Black History Month" to link the large Caribbean community to their rich history and culture, thereby empowering the community to feel proud about themselves and their countries. These great Caribbean documentaries will be shown on CIN's channel 73 at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 12th, February 19th, February 26th and March 5th and feature "Salute to our Seven National Heroes part 1 & 2," "Life & Work of Marcus Garvey," "Profile on Eric Williams -- The Man & The Myth," and "Bob Marley's Contribution to the National Economy."

CIN is the only regularly scheduled television service for the New York Caribbean-American community. For eleven years CIN has provided a full menu of news, sports, drama and music programmes created exclusively for the rapidly growing and youthful Caribbean population.
