Here Comes Jerry The Bunny! New Picture Book Brings to Life Fantastic Friendship and Adventures Between a Child and His Imaginary Friend

PALM DESERT, Calif., Feb. 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Having imaginary friends and playmates means a lot to any child. For the child, stuffed toys are like real friends who provide not only playful fun but also lively companionship and the opportunity to develop early socializing and creative thinking. In the brand new picture book, Adventures of Jerry, The Bunny Book One: The Beginning, author Lynn McKendry shares to readers a delightful story about friendship and adventures between her son, Justin, and his stuffed toy friend, Jerry.

The story begins with the birth of Justin, who begins to discover with delight the world around him. As he grows, he starts to love playing with his stuffed animal toys, and among them he likes bunny rabbits the best. While watching golf on television with his parents, he watched a broadcaster say "Back to you, Jerry," which made him laugh as he felt the name was funny. Immediately, he named his little blue bunny "Jerry the Bunny." Soon enough, Justin and his mother started making imaginary stories about his newly found friend, Jerry, who had a mind of his own and would express his own views of the family. Jerry's company is strongly felt as Justin communicates with him and at times he follows his advice and suggestions. Together, Jerry and Justin become inseparable friends and their wonderful adventures together become real (like learning to play golf or ride skateboards), even to the point of involving the entire family.

Fun and very touching, Adventures of Jerry, The Bunny Book One: The Beginning is easily destined to be a hit picture book for children and their parents as it brings to life the wonders of friendship and fun of playing. Jerry's personality symbolizes not only friendship but also the power of fantasy, the fun of adventuring, and the essence of companionship.
