CHICAGO, Feb. 7, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- RSM EquiCo Capital Markets LLC, the broker-dealer subsidiary of global investment bank RSM EquiCo, has appointed Kamal Patel a vice president in the firm's Chicago office.
Patel specializes in mergers and acquisitions and provides capital raising advisory services across all sectors.
"Kamal's extensive background in both M&A and capital raising will be an asset to our Chicago advisory team and to our clients throughout the Midwest," said Brian Boyle, managing director and head of the firm's Chicago office.
Prior to joining RSM EquiCo, Patel was a vice president in the investment banking division of J.P. Morgan Securities, where he focused primarily on M&A and capital raising for mid-cap companies in a variety of industries.
Before that, he focused on M&A transactions for midsized clients while at both Banc One Capital Markets and Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co. (now Wachovia Securities). Patel began his career as an analyst with J.P. Morgan, primarily working on leveraged finance transactions for clients in the aerospace and defense sector.
Patel received his bachelor's degree in finance with a minor in economics from the New York University Stern School of Business and holds NASD series 7 and 63 General Securities licenses.
