Premier Digital Office, Consumer Equipment Manufacturer Makes $550,000 Investment in I-Logix Rhapsody

I-Logix Rhapsody Wins Design Review, Replaces Incumbent Modeling Tool Supplier

ANDOVER, Mass, Feb. 7, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- I-Logix (www.ilogix.com) announced today that the company received a $545,500 order from a premier Japanese office automation and consumer equipment manufacturer who plans to use Rhapsody, the market leading Model-Driven Development (MDD) environment, to develop next-generation laser and bubble jet printers, digital cameras and camcorders.

Rhapsody's superior capabilities won a very competitive design tool review to replace the incumbent "modeling tool" supplier. Reasons for choosing Rhapsody include better usability and its unique Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Modeling Language (UML 2.0) strengths. Rules-based code generation, ease of retargeting and support for Linux and Java were also key reasons cited by the customer for the leading MDD environment purchase. Lastly, the office and consumer products manufacturer selected Rhapsody because they were impressed with tool's future development roadmap, superior customer support and proven flexibility to meet their needs.

"This latest win more than reinforces Rhapsody's superior competitive edge. It also clearly demonstrates Rhapsody's range, where on one hand it is the design environment of choice for the world's premier military/aerospace companies and here it is also the tool of choice for one of the world's most sophisticated office and consumer electronics manufacturers. With an amazing 2005 behind us, Rhapsody continues to be the fastest-growing development environment in the industry, with no signs of slowing down-it continues to be 'a great time to be us!,'" Gene Robinson, CEO I-Logix, said.
