RIDGEWOOD, N.J., Feb. 9, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- What do women really want for Valentine's Day? If you guessed flowers, candy, a romantic dinner or even jewels, think again. A national survey of women 18-70, conducted by Passion Marketing Research Associates, reveals that 62% want a handwritten love letter, sealed in an envelope and mailed or delivered.

There are other thoughtful routes to go. "The most valuable thing you can give your significant other is time," says expert and current Ford model, Dianne deWitt. "Create a special meal together, sip on sparkling wine, and cuddle up for a late night movie."

Dianne has several helpful suggestions for making this Valentine's Day special, ranging from finding the love of your life on perfectmatch.com, sharing a meal with Hillshire Farm Smokes Sausage, Martini Rossi Prosecco, and Shari's Berries to capping the night off with a romantic comedy like Elizabethtown.
