NEW YORK, Feb. 14, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- North American Medical Management California (NAMM-CA), an Aveta company and a leading provider of Medicare Advantage services in Southern California's Inland Empire, has announced the appointments of Julian Santoyo as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Karen Gee as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). The two senior appointments further strengthen the company's management team as it continues to expand in the fast growing Medicare Advantage market in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Mr. Santoyo oversees financial services, information technology and facilities, including financial reporting, strategic business development and budgeting, information technology and data center, investment and treasury management, actuarial analysis and rate development, reinsurance and risk management, HEDIS cost and utilization reporting, government and regulatory audits and reporting, enrollment and member eligibility/capitation, purchasing and facility management.
Ms. Gee is responsible for identifying and evaluating opportunities for the company and managing implementation of projects under the direction of CEO Rick Shinto.

Mr. Santoyo has more than 16 years of healthcare management experience and seven years experience at public accounting firms to NAMM-CA. Prior to joining NAMM-CA, Mr Santoyo, a certified public accountant, served as the CFO for four health care organizations.
Ms. Gee will draw on her 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry and strong background in business development, budgeting, corporate finance, contracting, and investor relations. She holds an MBA in Health care Management from Boston University.
