WCA Waste Corporation Completes Acquisition in Colorado and New Mexico


HOUSTON, Feb. 15, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- WCA Waste Corporation (Nasdaq:WCAA) announced that it has acquired all of the equity interests in Transit Waste, LLC from Waste Corporation of America, LLC. Transit owns a 152 acre municipal solid waste landfill located outside Durango, Colorado and 15 collection routes servicing northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. Transit generated approximately $3.9 million of revenue for the year ended December 31, 2005 and was purchased for $5.5 million.

WCA Waste Corporation is an integrated company engaged in the transportation, processing and disposal of non-hazardous solid waste. The Company's operations consists of twenty landfills, twenty-one transfer stations/material recovery facilities and twenty-four collection operations located throughout Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
