30-Hour Construction Course Makes Well-Timed Jump to the Web

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 15, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Completing the suite of online safety training, the 30-hour construction course joins its companions the 10-hour construction course and the OSHA 500 Train-the-Trainer course.

"There've been many mine accidents recently, on-the-job safety is receiving a lot of much-deserved attention," said VP of Technical Skills and Safety with OSHACampus, Jeff Leiken, "That said, it only makes sense having all these courses together and available online where the world can access it."

OSHACampus is now the only provider of online safety training to have all three courses available over the Internet.

The product launch is well-timed with industry trends. Justus Heuer, OSHA Outreach Trainer for 360training, also explained how OSHA Outreach Training is becoming the industry standard. "Especially in government projects, most general contractors are requiring their subcontractors to be trained in safety. The risk and liability is just too crazy in the pre-construction field," Heuer said.

Being trained in safety is also crucial for those aspiring to supervisory roles like foreman, project manager and project engineer or for those wanting to become an authorized OSHA Construction Outreach Trainer

The OSHA 30 Hour Training course is designed for construction workers, foremen, job supervisors, and anyone involved in the construction industry. OSHA recommends Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Construction workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of the job.

The OSHA-30 Hour Construction Outreach Course, or its equivalent, is one of the prerequisites for the OSHA 500 Train-The-Trainer course which is provided in association with the Rocky Mountain Education Center.

The OSHA 10-hour, 30-hour and OSHA 500 courses are all available on www.OSHACampus.com.
