Carbonic International Brings BlaZtclean, the Only Zero Discharge Cleaning Technology to the GCC


DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Feb. 21, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Worker health and safety issues in the industrial cleaning business must be viewed in the broader perspective of environmental concerns engaging industry and governments worldwide. Legislation and international initiatives are pushing the development of environmentally safer ways of cleaning industrial and infrastructural facilities, the ideal being a "Zero Discharge" technology which is an economically and environmentally acceptable alternative to traditional methods.

The resultant discharge from all these methods constitutes a toxic, bio-accumulative, carcinogenic cocktail that is impossible to safely dispose," says Prodeep Mookerjee, GM and Director of Operations at Carbonic International. "Many businesses don't even realize the hazardous consequences of their cleaning methods and their contribution, year after year, to the cumulative degradation of our environment."

The new generation of cleaning technology uses dry ice as a zero discharge media to blast clean and is increasingly used in a variety of industries as the preferred method of cleaning. The airlines sector, construction companies, printing presses, food industries, rubber products producers, aluminum manufacturers, the automotive industry, glass producers, paper and packaging industries and ship maintenance yards, are just a few of the industries and applications that are adopting this cleaning method.

This unique concept involves the use of dry ice, which is propelled at supersonic velocities to impact and clean a surface. On striking the surface, it lifts away the contaminant whether it is rubber or plastic residue, release agents, dirt, paint or other unwanted material. The dry ice then sublimates and disappears, so secondary waste is nonexistent. The primary contaminants like dirt and grease are easily swept away or vacuumed. There are other significant advantages. Dry ice cleaning is electrically non-conductive, there is minimal danger of equipment damage and downtime is dramatically reduced; jobs that once took days may now take only hours with no post-treatment cleaning.
