First Annual Alt.Oscars Party With Paparazzi Red Carpet to be Held at Embassy on Oscar Night March 5 New York City

 Who:       Costume Cultural Society (http://www.costumeculture.org) 
            is a non-profit group hosting a fundraiser with Gucci 
            Group fashion designer Baby Chic and arts groups Kostume 
            Kult, Disorient and others.

 What:      Press/photo opportunity to cover the First Annual 
            Alt.Oscars  Party, an East Coast Alternative to the West 
            Coast Oscars held on the same night. Featuring an 
            outrageous red carpet opening, colorful stage and fashion 
            shows, costume contests, Oscars on TV, and top DJ's. 
            Suggested party attire includes Celebrity Chic, Brokeback 
            Cowboy, Kong-tribal, Transamericana, any film character 
            and creative black tie.

 Where:     Embassy, 28 West 20th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues 
            (one of the hottest new lounge spaces in NY).

 When:      Sunday, March 5, 6:30 p.m. til late.  Red carpet 6:30- 9, 
            Oscar viewing and competitions after 8.  Please be 
            prepared to provide appropriate I.D. for press 
            credentials.

 The Scene: Fashionistas, underground artists, international 
            jettsetters, Broadway actors, and NYC's most unique 
            people. Event will be covered by JuiceCaster

 Background: Costume Cultural Society is an arts charity founded by 
             Costume Network that teaches costume/experimental fashion 
             classes to adults and inner-city kids and is launching a 
             NYC area family-oriented Halloween Festival.
