Radisson Valley Forge Offers Guests a New Level of Comfort and Choice with the Introduction of the Sleep Number Bed

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., March 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Radisson Hotel Valley Forge invites guests to achieve a more restful night's sleep and awake more refreshed by finding their personal SLEEP NUMBER(r). The hotel has announced that 130 of its rooms now feature a custom-designed Sleep Number Bed by Select Comfort(tm) that is available exclusively at Radisson Hotels & Resorts(r). Unlike traditional innerspring mattresses, the firmness of a Sleep Number(r) bed can be adjusted at the touch of a button, allowing individuals to find their Sleep Number(r) -- a number between zero and 100 that represents each person's ideal level of mattress comfort, firmness and support. The hotel will add 198 more Sleep Number(r) beds by June 2006.

The new Sleep Number Bed by Select Comfort(tm) is accessorized with customized upscale bedding including crisp, white sheets and cases with dark navy trim, plush feather and down sleeping pillows, a signature duvet, and a color-coordinated bed skirt and decorative, chenille bed runner. The new linen ensemble was designed to provide each guest with luxurious comfort.

Carlson Hotels Worldwide, Radisson's parent company, and Select Comfort Corporation (Nasdaq:SCSS) recently formed an exclusive partnership to have Sleep Number(r) beds available in all Radisson Hotels & Resorts in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean, with the majority of Radisson's 90,000 beds to be upgraded to Sleep Number(r) beds in 2005 and 2006.

"Our exclusive agreement with Select Comfort will bring the hotel sleep experience to a new level of comfort and choice in our industry," said Bjorn Gullaksen, executive vice president and brand leader of Radisson Hotels & Resorts and Carlson Hotels Worldwide Full Service Hotels. "The installation of the Sleep Number(r) bed at our hotels throughout North America will be a key branded differentiator and supports our mission to become the leading brand of choice of frequent travelers who are seeking an upscale hotel experience because we meet their individual needs for comfort and service."

"A good night's sleep is one of the most important parts of a guest's hotel stay," said Dan Hatch, the hotel's Managing Director. "The bed is a critical guest touch point that is highly valued at an upscale, full-service hotel. The Sleep Number(r) bed uniquely allows each guest to find their Sleep Number(r) and adjust the mattress to their ideal comfort level on each stay and have more control over their hotel experience," he added.

"Having Sleep Number(r) beds in Radisson hotels is a great way for consumers to get a better night's sleep away from home," said Keith C. Spurgeon, senior vice president of sales for Select Comfort. The Sleep Number(r) bed allows each Radisson guest to sleep their own way by choosing their Sleep Number(r) for personalized comfort and support."

A study conducted by the Stanford University Medical Sleep Disorders Center found that 87 percent of those who slept on a Sleep Number(r) bed experienced a more restful night's sleep.
