Truth is Stranger Than Fiction -- New Book Showcases Real-Life Short Stories From Author's Adventures

HEWLETT HARBOR, N.Y., March 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Traveling is more than just moving from place to another, it is also an adventure filled with discoveries, encounters and even unusual happenings. And by the end, travelers will realize that truth is stranger than fiction. To find out why, readers must join author Edward S. Orzac as he presents his personal experiences and exotic tales that will add spice into their lives with his astonishing new book The Love Ashram & Other Short Stories.

The Love Ashram & Other Short Stories is a collection of short but true stories that bring to life the cultures and people of foreign lands set in a time long before the beginning of globalization. Through the stories, the author shares his countless experiences such as serving for the U.S. Army in World War II, his struggle in helping American nuns who were trapped in Rome, and his tireless work as an international physician when he helped advance the practice of medicine in Third World countries. In adding depth to each story, the book also features a highly interesting cast of exotic characters (including a wayward American businessman who redefined international affairs) as well as a number of photos taken from the author's trips. Last but not least, Orzac's special brand of humor is present and entertaining to the heart.

The tales of the book are not limited only to a particular period of history as it includes pieces on travel, past and present as well as the tragic events of 9/11. Aside from cultures, locations and people, the book also tackles several themes like family values, race, politics, military service, education and international law.

Inspiring, entertaining and even educational, readers will find The Love Ashram & Other Short Stories a true showcase of life and adventures. In addition to its detailed record of the world, the collection of short stories dramatically shows the difference and similarities between the old world and today's age of globalization. No doubt about it, Edward S. Orzac's book is easily one of the most interesting books that you can find today at your favorite bookstores and libraries!
