About the Author

Aminah Amatul Basir was born in Wilmington, N.C, the second of seven children. The author holds three Associate degrees, a Bachelor of Arts in Communcation and is completing a Master's of Social Justice degree in May 2006. Aminah Amatul Basir worked on a Master's program in Radio, T.V. and Film and has been a writer for two community newspapers and has filmed for Pontiac Cablevision. Today, she is married and lives in Jackson, Michigan; she has two adult children, five adult step-children and grandchildren.
