Northrop Grumman Appoints George Haynes Sector Chief Information Officer


HERNDON, Va., March 7, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named George Haynes chief information officer for the company's Technical Services sector.

In this position, Haynes is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and leadership of all information-systems and information-technology activities in the Technical Services sector.

"With George's demonstrated leadership experience at Northrop Grumman, I am confident in his ability to streamline processes and establish a strategic direction for the sector's IT initiatives," said James L. Cameron, corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman Technical Services.

Haynes joined Northrop Grumman in 1985 and most recently served as information technology program manager at the company's Electronic Systems sector. In this position, he led IT solution deployments, which led to increased productivity and reduced costs for the sector's Aerospace and Government Systems divisions.

Haynes earned a master's degree in business from Loyola College, Baltimore; a master's degree in management information systems from the University of Maryland, College Park; and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Towson State University, Towson, Md.
