BALTIMORE, March 9, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has appointed Stephen M. Bryant as vice president of combat avionics programs for the company's Electronic Systems sector.

Bryant will have responsibility for the execution of multiple programs across the combat avionics portfolio, including radar and other sensor avionics systems for the Joint Strike Fighter, B-l, F-22A and other aircraft, as well as for programs transitioning from the company's Systems Development and Technology division.

Bryant joined the company in 1976 and has held a number of positions in digital design, system engineering and program management. In 1999, Bryant was named director of Strike and Combat Programs and most recently served as director of Joint Strike Fighter Programs.

Bryant earned bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and mathematics from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Terre Haute, Ind., a master's degree in electrical engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Maryland.
