Nanoforce Technologies Inc.'s Patent Position Expands Again With Issuance of Patent for Producing Improved Catalyst

EL PASO, Texas, March 13, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nanoforce Technologies Inc. (Pink Sheets:NNFC), a leading developer of nano-materials, today formally announced the award of a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Nanoforce Inc. spokesperson David Rendina said that one of the company's pending patents defining "highly active supported catalyst compositions and methods for producing more active supported catalyst compositions" had been issued by the U.S. patent office. The invention describes a new group of composite materials useful as catalysts and new methods for producing catalytically active composites. These catalyst composites may find use in a wide variety of chemical reactions. It is believed that they will be particularly useful in petroleum refining applications such as hydrogenation, hydrotreating, hydrocracking, oxidation, and water/gas shift reactions.

The award of U.S. Patent No. 7.008.895 "is a fantastic addition to their existing IP portfolio and will be very useful to our Refinery Science Corp. division" says Dr. Ed Hauptmann, Refinery Science Corp., Director of Engineering. The patent was officially issued on March 7, 2006.
