IASA 2006 Roundtable Events to Help Executives 'Navigate a Changing Landscape'

BOSTON, March 14, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Each year in conjunction with the IASA Annual Educational Conference & Business Show, IASA's Executive Education Program presents two executive roundtable events designed specifically for Chief Financial Officers and Chief Information Officers. In 2006, the CFO and CIO Roundtables will take place on Tuesday, June 6, at the Sheraton Copley Place Hotel in Boston, MA, and the programs will focus on helping insurance company financial and technology executives "Navigate a Changing Landscape."

"It's not only changes in the insurance industry itself that provoke the need for continuing education," said Steve Meziere, President -- Life of America Insurance Company and President-Elect -- IASA. "It's changes in the people and in the world at large as well. People change jobs or get promoted, new regulations and legislation take effect, and major events such as terror attacks and natural disasters help to change the landscape in which we work. Ongoing education opportunities are important to the success of any executive in the insurance industry today."

These exclusive educational programs provide content targeted specifically to the changing needs of senior financial and technology insurance company executives seeking peer-to-peer education and networking opportunities. These "by invitation only" events will feature industry experts speaking on the industry's hottest topics, including: disaster recovery/business continuity, regulatory compliance, new and changing legislation, document management and imaging, reinsurance issues, staffing/sourcing and IT governance.

"When senior management makes a decision for the company, the decision must be based on current and reliable information," said Mike Holmes, Senior Financial Accountant -- State Auto Insurance Companies and Vice President of chapters for IASA. "IASA delivers this much-needed information in a variety of ways, but the CFO and CIO Roundtables are the best opportunity for senior level executives to exchange ideas with their peers who are facing similar challenges. The roundtables really personify what IASA is all about, 'progress through sharing knowledge.'"

Sponsors for the 2006 Executive Roundtable events include: AT&T, Guy Carpenter, Hyland Software, ImageRight, Satyam, SAP and SunGard.

IASA is proud to invite CFOs and CIOs, and those holding equivalent titles, to attend these special events during the 2006 IASA Annual Educational Conference & Business Show, June 4-7, 2006, in Boston, MA.
