Zak Enterprises, HOPE Services Announce Partnership

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 15, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Zak Enterprises and HOPE Services today announced they have formed a working partnership. Zak is an asset recovery and e-waste services company in Santa Clara. HOPE is a non-profit organization that has been providing a wide array of employment and other support services to local residents who are developmentally disabled for more than 50 years. HOPE is also meeting the needs of local businesses and companies through its Production Services business.

Zak collects e-waste from local OEMs such as phones, computers, monitors, hard drives, etc., which Zak then re-sells or recycles. The partnership calls for Zak to bring its e-waste requiring disassembly to one of HOPE's San Jose production facilities. HOPE has committed to train and dedicate 30+ client workers to work exclusively on disassembling this equipment prior to it being recycled or resold.

"Not only are we doing the right thing for the environment by recycling e-waste, but we are also contributing to the community by utilizing HOPE's Production Services employee capabilities," said Kurt Schenk, owner and general manager of Zak.
