NetZero Adds Free VoIP Calling to Its HiSpeed 3G ISP Offering

Company Bundles New NetZero Voice VoIP Calling Service With NetZero HiSpeed 3G Accelerated Internet Service

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., March 15, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- United Online, Inc. (Nasdaq:UNTD), a leading provider of consumer Internet subscription services, announced today that it is bundling its NetZero Voice 100 Internet phone plan with its accelerated NetZero HiSpeed 3G Internet service, the fastest accelerated dial-up service available.*

HiSpeed 3G users will now be able to make 100 minutes per month of free calls to any phone number in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico using their computer.

NetZero HiSpeed 3G can be purchased at www.netzero.com for as low as $9.95 with a 12-month commitment. Anyone who signs up for a NetZero HiSpeed 3G account will receive a NetZero Voice 100 account as part of their plan. Existing NetZero HiSpeed 3G members will be given the opportunity to activate a free NetZero Voice 100 account online for no extra charge. In addition, existing NetZero Platinum and free NetZero ISP users will be given the chance to upgrade their service to HiSpeed 3G to qualify for the bundle offer.

"We're the first major ISP to add free VoIP calling to our access plan," said Mark R. Goldston, chairman, CEO and president of United Online. "And we're the only one that gives members a VoIP calling plan that lets them make high-quality phone calls over a dial-up Internet connection. For as low as $9.95 a month, our members get Internet access, Internet calling and premium features like a personal telephone number with voicemail and call forwarding that might cost extra from their current phone service."

NetZero Voice 100 is one of four Internet calling plans offered by United Online. Other NetZero Internet calling plans include: NetZero Free Voice, which enables free computer-to-computer calling worldwide between members; Pay-As-You-Go, perfect for members who simply want low-cost calling to international destinations; and NetZero Voice Unlimited, which provides unlimited free calling to any phone number in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico for $14.95 per month. All NetZero Voice plans work over dial-up and broadband Internet connections regardless of the Internet service provider.

NetZero HiSpeed 3G members who subscribe to the new bundle can choose a personal phone number, including area code, which allows them to make and receive Internet calls. In addition, they receive an assortment of other premium features including:

-- Voicemail with the NetZero Message Center
 -- Instant messaging capabilities
 -- Caller ID
 -- Call waiting
 -- Call blocking
 -- 3-Way calling
-- Call forwarding, which allows incoming calls to be forwarded to up
to three phone numbers in succession and answered on any telephone

NetZero HiSpeed 3G accelerates Web surfing speeds without the high cost of a broadband connection. In addition to the newly added value of NetZero Voice 100, NetZero HiSpeed 3G also provides the following features and protections:

 -- Spam protection

 -- Pop-up blocker
