Unique Pizza and Subs Corporation Clarifies Announcement of Letter of Intent for Acquisition

PITTSBURGH, March 15, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Unique Pizza and Subs Corporation (Pink Sheets:UPZS), a publicly traded Delaware Corporation, announces the signing of a letter of intent to acquire Unique Pizza and Subs Corporation of Pittsburgh PA, a private corporation. This is the first merger candidate for UPZS.

James C. Vowler, who became President and CEO of UPZS February 9, 2006, was also the founder of the private company, Unique Pizza and Subs Corporation of Pittsburgh, PA (UPAS) (formerly Unique Pizza Factory Corporation). UPAS, the private company, has ten franchises, and over eleven years of profitable operational experience has built a solid foundation for development and growth with a menu that offers more then fifteen varieties of pizza including the largest pizza known to the industry (2' x 2' square). UPAS also serves sub sandwiches, wings, factory fries and salads. Four years of research was done involving all aspects of the pizza industry before the first location called "Unique Pizza Factory" was opened, "to determine why there had to be something better and learn how to do so," in the words of James C. Vowler.

Mr. Vowler, President and CEO of UPZS and UPAS, says "Over eleven years ago we dreamed of growing our concept nationwide and becoming a publicly trading company. We expect to accomplish this by partnering with others who share our dreams of success. Any success we have achieved so far has been due to one uncompromising value 'to make the customer experience as great as possible, by meeting or exceeding their expectations.' Along the way, this claim has been verified through recognition in such publications as Pizza Today, Food Industry Advisor, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Entertainment Magazine. We've also been highly visible through our sponsorships with professional sports teams like the Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Today the concept is growing rapidly. We've expanded into several other areas of Western Pennsylvania as well as Atlanta, Georgia. Current development includes Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Boston, Massachusetts, Austin, Texas, North Carolina and several parts of Virginia. We at UPZS consider UPAS to be the perfect merger candidate which will help Unique Pizza and Subs Corporation (UPZS) achieve its corporate goals of nationwide growth into becoming one of the top pizza franchises in the industry."
