Sitestar Corp. Purchases Prolynx

Acquisition Expands Rocky Mountain Region Customer Base

LYNCHBURG, Va., March 21, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sitestar Corporation (OTCBB:SYTE), a provider of residential and business Internet access and value-added computer services, today announced that it has purchased Prolynx, a Colorado-based Internet Service Provider (ISP). The acquisition further increases the company's dial-up and Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) Internet customer base in the Rocky Mountain region.

As a result of the acquisition, Prolynx customers will become part of the Sitestar network and benefit from the company's cutting-edge products and services such as advanced spam filtering and around the clock technical support. The company expects the transition to be seamless.

"This acquisition continues our commitment to build a larger, stronger and more efficient company that delivers both customer and shareholder value," said Frank R. Erhartic, Jr., CEO for Sitestar. "We are delighted to welcome Prolynx customers to Sitestar and look forward to providing them our high quality service and support."

Sitestar has embarked upon a plan to aggressively grow its customer base through a strategy that includes direct marketing, leveraging strategic partnerships and affiliations, and acquiring ISPs in target markets. The absorption of Prolynx follows Sitestar's recent purchase of Canada's NetRover which expanded the company's presence outside of the United States.
