HCC Promotes Farid Nagji to EVP of Administration and Corporate Services


HOUSTON, March 22, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:HCC) announced today that Farid F. Nagji has been promoted to the newly created position of Executive Vice President of Administration and Corporate Services.

Mr. Nagji, who is 41 years old, has been with the Company since 2003 in the position of Chief Information Officer and more recently Senior Vice President in the Office of the Chairman. In his new role he will be responsible for information services, human resources, administration, enterprise risk management and corporate governance.
