The Radisson Valley Forge Announces The Waterford

VALLEY FORGE, Pa., March 22, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Radisson Valley Forge Hotel announced today the development of a new, spectacular all-purpose Ballroom and Entertainment Center, The Waterford, in the space formerly occupied by Lily Langtry's Showplace and Dinner Theater. The theater space will be renovated into a State-of-the-Art ballroom to accommodate the high demand for weddings, association meetings, proms, social functions and stage shows for unique corporate events. The new bi-level structure will offer a contemporary and high-tech venue for the many audiences that utilize the Valley Forge Convention Center, the Scanticon Valley Forge Hotel and Conference Center and the Radisson.

Dan Hatch,Managing Director of the Valley Forge Convention Plaza stated, "The current Lily Langtry's show, 'Curtain Call-A Tribute to Broadways Best' will conclude in April. We expect the Grand Opening of The Waterford to take place in September." The final Lily Langtry show will take place on April 30, 2006 after 25 years of entertaining more than one million patrons.

The conversion of the dinner theater to The Waterford will cost over $1.1 million. It will be primarily focused on enhancing the design of the room, decor, carpeting and lighting, upgraded seating and the installation of the newest technology in regards to the multimedia presentation capabilities and computer Internet access. The Ballroom's 8,500 square feet will be capable of accommodating 500 persons in a theater configuration, 420 people for a banquet and 700 guests for a cocktail/reception.

"The Valley Forge market has changed dramatically in the past few years," Hatch continued, "and we have seen an increase in the requests for a large unique type venue that is different from a basic ballroom. The Waterford is being designed to fit that audience and we think that it will contribute to an additional influx of business into the Valley Forge area." The Valley Forge Convention Plaza has long been known for its ability to host large multi-dimensional groups on a grand scale and the conversion will make the facility an even more desirable destination for conventions, corporate events, conferences and social gatherings.

Paul Decker, President of the VF Convention and Visitors Bureau, stated, "Valley Forge and Montgomery County is in need of a unique, entertainment-type facility and this new Ballroom seems ideal to meet the needs of our customers. While we will miss Lily Langtry's, the fact that The Waterford will have the built-in stage will allow our groups to create their own entertainment concepts that suit the vision of their own events. It's great for Valley Forge and it's great for our customers."
