Metso to Supply Linerboard Machine to Zhejiang Jingxing Paper, China


HELSINKI, Finland, March 27, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Metso Paper will supply a linerboard machine to Zhejiang Jingxing Paper Joint Stock Co., Ltd of China. The machine, which will have an annual capacity of 300,000 tonnes, is to come on stream in Pinghu City, Zhejiang province in 2007. The customer has requested that the value of the order is not disclosed.

The order contains a complete three-ply linerboard machine, including among other things a dilution headbox and a shoe press, as well as a calender, with corresponding services. The new PM 12 will have a wire width of 6,150 mm and a design speed of 1,100 m/min.

Zhejiang Jingxing Paper is headquartered in Pinghu City, Zhejiang province, approx. 100 km southwest of Shanghai. In 2005 the company created a revenue of RMB 1.4 billion (EUR 140 million). With an annual containerboard capacity of 380,000 tons from 6 machines, the company is currently one of China's three leading producers. The company employs more than 2,000 people.
