Delta Boosts Leadership Position at New York's LaGuardia Airport, Connecting Business Travelers to Chicago O'Hare with New, Nonstop Service

Customers will enjoy new two-class jet service and improved amenities as airline unveils state-of-the-art PowerStop business center with partner American Express

NEW YORK, April 3, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- On-the-go travelers flying between the key business centers of New York and Chicago now have even more reason to choose Delta as the airline introduces new, convenient nonstop service between LaGuardia's historic Marine Air Terminal and Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. Additionally, Delta and partner American Express(r) have unveiled the on-site PowerStop(tm) center with upgraded amenities, giving Delta Shuttle and Chicago-bound customers complimentary computer access to stay connected to the office or home, as well as expanded conference facilities.

"Our valued business travelers now can fly Delta between the country's two most important business centers on our convenient service between New York and Chicago," said Glen Hauenstein, Delta's executive vice president of Network Planning and Revenue Management. "This new service from New York's most convenient airport facility, combined with a newly-renovated business center, underscore Delta's commitment to the business customer who demands convenience, comfort and reliability."

Delta's nonstop service between New York and Chicago will be operated by Delta Connection carrier Shuttle America with the new 70-seat Embraer 170 jet featuring both first class and economy service. The Embraer 170 jet is one of the most preferred narrow-body aircraft flying today with large overhead bins and a comfortable seating configuration where every seat is a window or an aisle.

The new flights, which begin today, will operate five times daily between LaGuardia and O'Hare, further boosting Delta's existing leadership position at LaGuardia. The schedule is as follows:
