Hitachi Data Systems Qualifies Emulex 4Gb/S HBAs

Emulex Delivers Industry-Leading 4Gb/s Performance for Next-Generation Tiered Storage Solutions


COSTA MESA, Calif., April 4, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX), the most trusted name in storage networking connectivity, today announced that Hitachi Data Systems has qualified the Emulex 4Gb/s PCI-X and PCI Express connectivity solutions.

This qualification signifies immediate availability of Emulex 4Gb/s SAN connectivity solutions for deployment with Hitachi storage solutions. The qualified solutions from Emulex include the 4Gb/s single channel LP1150, LP11000, LPe1150 and LPe11000 HBAs and dual channel LP11002 and LPe11002 HBAs. Emulex 4Gb/s HBAs are designed for both native PCI Express and PCI-X 2.0 architectures, and are supported and qualified across Hitachi TagmaStore(tm) family of storage systems. In addition, Hitachi storage systems coupled with the Emulex 4Gb/s connectivity solutions ensure seamless operation for customers.
