Habitat for Humanity builds simple and affordable houses in partnership with those in need of adequate shelter. The house, which is being called the "Labor Management House 4," is located on Wolf Trap Road in Yorktown, Va. The land was donated by homeowner Juanita Wright.

Northrop Grumman's Newport News sector provided volunteers and financial support and coordinated the resources for this project.

"We enjoyed building this house for Juanita," said Bill Ermatinger, vice president of human resources and administration at Northrop Grumman Newport News. "I hope she enjoys her new home and the hard work the volunteers from Northrop Grumman put into it."

Representatives from Northrop Grumman Newport News, the Steelworkers Union, Habitat for Humanity and Wright participated in the ceremony.

In addition to Wright becoming a new homeowner, she will celebrate her 65th birthday this week.

"I will be forever grateful for your help in making it possible for me to own my home," Wright said. "The shipyard built this house, so I know it will be here forever."
