Open EC Technologies Inc. Announces Private Placement


VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 10, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Open EC Technologies, Inc. ("Open EC" or the "Company") (TSX-V:OCE) (Pink Sheets:OCEIF) is pleased to announce a non-brokered private placement of up to 13,333,333 units at a price of $0.075 per unit to raise gross proceeds of up to $1,000,000. Each unit will consist of one common share and one-half of one share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant will entitle the holder to acquire one additional common share of the Company at a price of $0.15 per share for a period of two years from the date of issue. Finder's fees will be paid in connection with the private placement, in accordance with Exchange policies.

The private placement proceeds will be used for general working capital and to settle debts with arms length third parties.
