ClickTracks Web Analytics Reports Record Sales Quarter

Web Analytics Company Receives 'Positive' Rating by Gartner Analyst

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., April 11, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- ClickTracks Analytics Inc. (www.clicktracks.com), maker of the award-winning line of web analytics software, today announced a record first quarter for 2006, an 83 percent revenue growth over the same quarter in 2005, and a 22 percent increase over Q4 2005. The company reported 97 percent revenue growth in 2005.

At the same time, the company announced it has been included in the Gartner evaluation of the web analytics market (Gartner MarketScope for Web Analytics 2Q06) and received a "positive" rating by analyst Bill Gassman.

According to the Gartner report, "In 2006, Internet popularity is stronger than ever, and the second wave of growth for the Web analytics market is well under way. Leaders experienced more than a 50 percent revenue growth rate in 2005, which is greater than the rate of many other software markets. In addition, a small number of leaders have emerged from the crowded market, and organizations are taking a new look at Web analytics requirements as they revisit their Web site strategies."

ClickTracks founder and CEO John Marshall says sales have risen dramatically due to increases in new hosted business and licenses of ClickTracks' JavaScript data collection (JDC) product; continued growth in the small-to-medium business market, and new features in ClickTracks' latest release, Version 6, which shipped in November, 2005. Version 6.1, which includes a comprehensive click fraud, is already in use by customers, and ships with general availability in April, 2006.

Key Products and Features

ClickTracks 6 offers web site archiving, visual time-split comparisons, A/B split reporting and other new features that are particularly interesting to the enterprise market, Marshall explains.

Version 6.1 adds a new click fraud application which enables companies to spot suspicious activity by spotting anomalies in time spent on a site; frequency of clicks coming from a certain country, the number of different IP addresses, the number of sessions with no referral site and various other statistics. Other enhancements in 6.1 are a new Robot simulation View that allows marketers to see their site as search engine spiders see it, and integrated keyword ranking that shows the actual search engine ranking of traffic-producing keywords.

ClickTracks JDC addresses increasing privacy and data ownership concerns by companies that prefer not to have their visitor data collected and stored on a third-party server. By releasing a client/host version of its own hosted data collection software, ClickTracks eliminates recurring costs and enables businesses to collect page-tagged web analytics data on their own co-located servers.

ClickTracks Optimizer represents a mid-tier web analytics product aimed at search engine optimization consultants and web production teams within mid-sized businesses. Optimizer was also a boon to strong 2005 sales, according to Marshall.

ClickTracks was also first to market with the release of BidHero. The product offers powerful pay-per-click advertising bid management that integrates with ClickTracks' existing web analytics software.

The combined new product and service offerings were sold to over 1900 new customers in 2005.
