Mr. Jim's Pizza Sales Increase Following Product Launch and Branding Campaign


FARMERS BRANCH, Texas, April 11, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sales are climbing at Mr. Jim's Pizza following the launch of Mr. Jim's new product, Nacho Stix, and the debut of a new branding and advertising campaign. Same-store sales increased for the first two periods of 2006, including a same-store sales increase of 8.1% in the second period. (By comparison, it was reported in the Feb. 8, 2006 edition of the Dallas Morning News that same-store sales at Pizza Hut were down 4% during the first period.) Nacho Stix is a thin crust pizza, loaded with chicken, onion, jalapenos, mozzarella and cheddar cheese and served with salsa or dipping sauce. With the Nacho Stix launch and the new campaign, the first two periods of 2006 resulted in record sales at the 74 Mr. Jim's franchise locations.

"We have created a real winner with the Nacho Stix. This is the fastest growing product introduction in our 30-year history," said Jim Johnson, founder of Mr. Jim's pizza and known to the world as Mr. Jim.

To launch Nacho Stix, Mr. Jim's worked with WSM Advertising and Public Relations to develop a branding and advertising campaign.

"Even though our advertising had been working well for many years, we needed to create a unified image and firmly support our unique brand position.
