DJ/Producer Ivano Bellini Releases 'The Gryphon Sessions' (SFP Records) on 4/24/2006

MIAMI, April 11, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Where do Steven Tyler/Aerosmith, Jessica Simpson, Alicia Keyes, Matt Dillon and Kid Rock party? The Gryphon in Hollywood, Florida, the jet-setters' playpen. Global DJ Ivano Bellini expertly concocts the night's atmosphere as Gryphon's resident. With his sensual, European, electro-house sound, Bellini attracts jaded club-goers from Miami's trendy South Beach to his Friday parties. It's no surprise that Bellini has DJ'd parties attended by Madonna, Mick Jagger, Bono/U2, and Prince.

Recorded live, "The Gryphon Sessions" (SFP Records) captures the giddy vibe of Bellini's DJ sets. Using BBE Sound's Sonic Maximizer 882i to edit/master the disc, Bellini distilled hours of dramatic, playful house onto one disc. With contributions from fellow producers Peter Bailey, Matthew DeKay, D-Nox & Beckers, Dirty Vegas' Paul Harris, "The Gryphon Sessions" is a `keeper' in a year of overabundant mix compilations.

From the shrieking diva-vocals of Ian Carey's "Say What You Want" to the haunting melody of Slok's "Lonely Child," from the trance-y synthesizers of Guy Gerber's "Stoppage Time" to the quirky familiarity of the dancefloor anthem, Asquini Trax's "City Lights," Bellini sculpts an evening so magical that guests want it never to end.

The longest-running resident of Miami superclub, Space, Bellini's legendary "Sunrise Sessions" parties begin at 6:00 a.m. as crowds from the club's mainroom fill the Terrace for what they know will be the happiest part of their day. Playing to a full dancefloor until 2:00 p.m. or later, Bellini enjoys himself as much as anyone on his dancefloor, for he embodies the Miami sound.

Born in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1966, Bellini has been a professional DJ for over 20 years. Outside Miami, Bellini DJs in New York (Crobar, Spirit), Las Vegas (Tabu, Voodoo Lounge, The Hard Rock Hotel) and Los Angeles (H2O, Voodoo). Internationally, Bellini plays in Ibiza (Pacha), Bogota (Gotica), Montreal (Stereo), Sao Paolo (Unique) and Tunisia (Calypso).

In the DJ booth, Bellini uses Pioneer Pro DJ gear: three CDJ-1000s, HD-1000 headphones, an EFX-1000, and when possible, the DJM-1000 mixer. Bellini's live club mixes are heard weekly on Sirius Satellite Radio ("Area 33").
