Delta Strengthens Position as New York's Leading Airline with More Flights Planned for JFK, LaGuardia Customers This Summer

NEW YORK, April 13, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Delta Air Lines will continue to expand its market-leading position for New York City customers with the addition of service to three more non-stop routes from New York's LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy International airports this summer. The new flights include Saturday-only service between LaGuardia and Las Vegas and Los Angeles, effective June 10, and new daily round-trip service between JFK and Burlington, Vt., effective July 5. With these additions, Delta will offer New York customers more than 260 peak daily flights to 81 worldwide destinations from the city's two largest airports.

Additionally, Delta is accelerating from Sept. 9 to July 5 the start date for new non-stop service between New York-JFK and Richmond, Va. as part of a broader expansion plan at the JFK hub.

"Delta is New York's airline and we are excited about our continued growth in the largest, most exciting city in the world," said Bob Cortelyou, Delta's vice president of Network Planning. "Our customers will now be able to benefit from the easy access of LaGuardia Airport when traveling to Las Vegas and Los Angeles, complementing the service Delta already offers to those cities out of JFK.
