First Horizon National Corp. Adds Gaylord Entertainment's Colin Reed to Board


MEMPHIS, Tenn., April 18, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- First Horizon National Corp. (NYSE:FHN) (www.fhnc.com) shareholders today voted Colin V. Reed to the corporation's board of directors. Reed is chairman, president and CEO of Gaylord Entertainment Co.

Gaylord Entertainment is a Nashville, Tenn.-based diversified hospitality and entertainment company. Reed was elected chairman of the board of Gaylord in May 2005 and chief executive officer in May 2001. Before that he was chief financial officer and a member of the three-executive office of the president for Harrah's Entertainment Inc.

"Colin brings to our board his valuable perspective as the CEO of a publicly traded company with a national footprint that also happens to be headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., which is a key market for us. In addition, he will enhance our board with his financial and real estate expertise," said Ken Glass, First Horizon chairman and CEO.

Reed's term on the First Horizon board will expire at the 2008 annual meeting. First Horizon shareholders also reelected board members R. Brad Martin, Vicki R. Palmer, William B. Sansom and Jonathan P. Ward to terms expiring at the 2009 annual meeting.
